Position Overview:
Meyer, Meyer, LaCroix & Hixson LLC. is seeking CAD Technicians in our Alexandria & Ruston, Louisiana offices. These positions are for experienced CAD Technicians interested in preparing advanced engineering drawings utilizing CAD systems for a variety of projects. Projects are generally related to public and private utilities, transportation and site development. As an established company with over 50 years of success, we are continuously growing and expanding and are seeking individuals to help us continue to do so.
Responsibilities
• Works closely with project engineers or survey personnel in producing design documents.
• Produces plans, profiles, and detail drawings, maps and illustrations using CAD systems by incorporating standard and typical details or field data as directed.
• Develops plans/drawings and details for projects with guidance from engineer or designer.
• Assists in the preparation of quantity take-offs for cost estimates.
• Responsible for the reproduction of plan documents.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
• Must have a comprehensive knowledge of design and drafting techniques, engineering drawing, CAD/graphics, computer model work, and the interpretation of technical drawings.
• Must have an advanced working knowledge of computer and CAD systems.
· Ability to understand and use established company standards for drafting including layer names; line and character styles; drawings and file names for sheet layout
· The ability to prepare plan and profile sheets, grading and utility plans using Civil 3D
· Effective interpersonal skills for interaction with colleagues and clients
Education and Experience Requirements
• Must have completed advanced courses in drafting and CAD operation or have at least 3 years of progressive CAD experience.
• Other combinations of applicable education, training, and experience which provide the qualifications necessary to perform effectively in this position may be considered.
The successful candidates will have strong problem-solving skills with a superior work ethic and the desire to advance. These individuals will be self-starters with the ability to work independently or with team members as needed. Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Word and Excel is required.

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Licensed Civil Engineer with over 5 years of hands-on experience. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of local, state, federal, and environmental regulations. You will be responsible for leading projects from conception through funding, design, and construction, providing technical expertise, project management, and budget oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead and manage projects from conception through construction.
· Design and oversee construction administration, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
· Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as environmental standards.
· Prepare cost estimates, project schedules, and manage project budgets.
· Prepare funding applications to various state and federal funding agencies.
· Administer contracts, oversee construction progress, and ensure resource management is efficient.
· Utilize AutoCAD, Civil 3D and other software to develop designs and technical drawings.
· Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
· Develop and maintain project documentation, including reports and submittals.
· Manage and mentor junior engineers and support staff.
· Handle conflict resolution, maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, and ensure high standards of ethics and integrity.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Louisiana or licensed in another state with the ability to obtain a Louisiana license within 6 months.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Strong understanding of local, state, and federal regulations as well as environmental compliance.
• Experience with project management, including budget management, cost estimation, contract administration, and scheduling.
• Experience with funding agencies, such as USDA-Rural Development, DEQ Clean Water State Revolving Fund, LDH Drinking Water Revolving Loan Fund, Louisiana Water Sector Program, State Capital Outlay, Louisiana Community Development Block Grants, LGAP/CWEF, FAA and LADOTD.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Conflict resolution skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• A commitment to ethical conduct and professional integrity.
• Ability to work collaboratively within the company’s culture and contribute positively to the team environment.
